Exploring New Features of Dynamics 365 Business Central Release – 2024 Wave 2

Hey Friends!
The October 2024 release of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is here! It’s bringing a host of exciting new features that we can look forward to.
Here are some of the key highlights that will enhance our experience:
Subscription Billing: I’m thrilled to share that this highly anticipated feature will empower you to efficiently manage contracts, billing schedules, usage-based billing, revenue recognition, and deferrals integration. Stay tuned for a detailed guide on Subscription Billing next week, where we’ll delve into all the essential information.
New Excel Report Layouts: The release will introduce four new Excel report layouts, including Consolidated Trial Balance, Fixed Asset Details, Fixed Asset Analysis, and Fixed Asset Projected Value. These additions reflect Microsoft’s dedication to improving reporting for fixed assets and projects, which is truly exciting.
Default Quantity of 1: With the new update, setting a default quantity of 1 for accounts on electronic documents will streamline processes and eliminate the need for manual input each time a G/L account line is added to a sales order, purchase order, or other document. Finally! Always typing 1 in the quantity field was so annoying!
Create Power Automate Workflows with CoPilot: CoPilot now offers assistance in creating Power Automate workflows, providing valuable support in Business Central tasks. I’m looking forward to sharing an in-depth guide on this soon.
CoPilot Enhancements: Microsoft has expanded and improved the uses of CoPilot in Business Central, making it an indispensable tool. If you haven’t explored it yet, I highly recommend giving it a try. You can refer to my previous post for more details on existing features. Microsoft has added a few more capabilities to further enhance CoPilot, which is excellent news for all users.
Stay tuned for more as we continue to dig into Microsoft Dynamics Business Central. Have a great week!
